Overview
Experience the geothermal wonders of Te Puia after dark on Mārama: Geyser Light Trail, an immersive evening walk featuring illuminated landscapes, interactive artworks, atmospheric soundscapes and storytelling. Follow a 1.5 km trail through the Whakarewarewa Geothermal Valley, where geysers, steaming geothermal features and natural surroundings are transformed by colourful lighting effects. Discover ten unique illuminated scenes, enjoy views of the magnificent Pōhutu Geyser and conclude the experience with a walk through the traditional setting of Pikirangi Village.
